‘BeatleBums’ on Plymouth Hoe

by Thomas Thrussell on 12/02/15

In 1967 the Beatles visited Plymouth on their famous Magical Mystery Tour. The iconc band posed for the cameras with the historic backdrop of Plymouth Hoe.
In 2015 Thrussells were asked to create a piece of artwork which celebrated the very spot the Beatles sat. They did this by creating impressions much like the Hollywood stars. These impressions were created using the UK’s publicly acclaimed Beatles tribute band ‘The Fab Beatle’ from Exeter.
The artwork is made of galvanized steel framework and covered in thick repoussè copper depicting psychedelic imagery from the 1960’s.
