Maidstone Dinosaur
A full life size Iguanodon dinosaur designed and made for Maidstone town centre to celebrate the town’s contribution to paleontological. In 1822, Gideon Mantell discovered the first fossilised remains of the Iguanodon species of dinosaur. The fossilised remains were found in the town’s local quarry and can now been viewed at the London Natural history Museum and a copy is also on display at Maidstone Museum.
Thrussells won the competition to create this iconic dinosaur for the town centre train station in Maidstone Kent.
